Can you still remember the first day you attended primary school? Were you one of those who cried because they do not want their parents to leave their side? If so, then you should wish for something different for your son. To keep history from repeating itself, you should instil in him a love for studying and going to school.
First, get him interested in various educational activities such as reading and playing sports. You can do this by sharing with him your favourite book or bedtime story. You can also teach him how to play football or have him join the little league in your community to get him exposed to the world of sports.
Second, let him experience the beauty and mystery of music, travel, dance, food, puzzles, and games, among others. Any of these elements might influence his future life choices. His inclination to play musical instruments, for instance, may be the key to unlock his talent.
Third, spend a few hours teaching him in a typical classroom setting. Of course, to make the experience more realistic, you have to allot a space in your house that is conducive to learning and has all the necessary educational materials.
Lastly, visit the school where you wish to enrol your son. Show him what is great about the place and the many things he will discover if he attends the said institution. That way, when he returns on his first day, he will be excited about it.
